ABOUT  ME:

I am an LPCC candidate in the counseling psychology program at the University of St. Mary’s in Minneapolis. I view psychotherapy as a partnership where together we carefully explore your thoughts, feelings, influences and habits from a position of non-judgment and equanimity. Only when we are feeling safe and fully understood can we truly determine what we want for our lives, and find the motivation to make the changes we want.

I primarily work from a psychodynamic perspective. I believe that our core struggles are organized by unconscious conflicts. Our goal is to become aware of these internal dynamics and through this awareness to be liberated to alter them. Our earliest experiences and the cultures we inhabit fundamentally shape how we show up in relationships, how we think, and what we believe is possible for ourselves. It is deeply meaningful to me to be entrusted with supporting you through your personal struggles and guiding you toward solutions that are uniquely yours.

I have experience with those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, crisis in self-esteem, and attachment wounds. In a world that is growing increasingly uncertain, I aim to provide a space outside of the noise where your concerns are treated with attention, respect and care.

As a Queer clinician, I am particularly interested in Queer flourishing, providing gender-affirming care and related identity concerns, though obviously I also work with people who are not queer-identified. It is a common human experience to feel "Othered." My background makes it easy to identify with anyone's experience of feeling like an outsider, however, that shows up for you.

BACKGROUND:

I earned my undergraduate degree in music therapy from Augsburg University in 2021. My background in music therapy informs my work, emphasizing creativity, self-expression, and connection.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in community mental health, supporting individuals with complex needs, as well as the developmentally disabled community—experiences that shaped my values and approach to therapy.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, singing, collecting vinyl, hiking, and reading. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered on their journey.
